"Hopscotch" was the cover of this year’s Graphika Manila Book. Yey! I’m in a book!
Graphika Manila 2011 happened yesterday. T’was fun. Did not really learn as much as I thought I would, but it was still amazing. It was insightful though, especially for the Weta talk. And Sir Dan Matutina was just his usual awesome self. Haha!
Also won some shiz from Team Manila. And I finally bought this book that I’ve been eying for quite some time now. It was a good day. And also the book is pretty awesome so far.
Though, I probably shouldn’t let that book distract me from my mountain of work and deadlines. But DAMN! I want to read another chapter. This is the problem with good books.
Anyway, my artwork was also inside, next to Valerie Chua’s gorgeous watercolor painting.
If you noticed, the inside painting was a lot yellower than the cover. Yeah, that was my fault. I did that painting only a couple of days before the deadline. I was afraid of not being able to send it in time, so I sent it in before I could fix the colors to what I really wanted. Still turned out fine though. The cover does have the fixed colors. Because when they emailed me to make the painting for the cover, I tweaked my colors a bit and cleaned up some parts.
Anyway, thanks to Graphika Manila 2011! Till next year. Gonna improve tremendously and try to get in your book again.
